Chad Wilson - Board President

I was raised in Pittsburgh, PA. up through my college years. After graduating with a BSBA in marketing from Miami University of Oxford, OH., I lived in several cities before ending up in the Charlotte area in 1986. I moved to Lake Wylie in 1991, where I met my wonderful wife, Melanie. We raised our two children here, and what I remember most is always being involved with the kids' activities. Whether coaching Tee-ball, Soccer, Basketball, running swim meets, or the church basketball program, I was always involved with children. Once my kids were grown and left home and I retired, I was looking for something to become involved with to give back to the community and be involved with children. When Wayne Lynch approached me and told me about the Mayday Project, I knew I had found the vehicle that would allow me to help children continuously.

Roseann Stichnoth - Board V.P.

I grew up and raised my family in northern New Jersey, with a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology. I retired from a banking career in New York City in 2016, and my husband John and I relocated here to Lake Wylie. It is a beautiful place to live, but we are aware of many needy people dealing with issues including poverty, homelessness, and physical and mental health challenges. Mayday is critical in providing essential, timely support to those less fortunate living here and in neighboring communities. Working closely with local charities to understand their needs is incredibly gratifying.

Dave DeLuca - Board Treasurer

Born and raised in upstate New York, my wife Lois and I were married in 1976 and are blessed with four children and four grandchildren. I graduated from Siena College with a BBA in Accounting. I'm a CPA, working in public accounting and as CFO of several financial institutions. Lois and I have a passion for helping others; she is an EMT, and I coach various youth sports. Since arriving in South Carolina in 2018, Lois has volunteered and served on the Board of the Sweet Repeat. I have volunteered at the Community Cafe washing dishes and was recently elected to the MayDay board. MayDay's on-call funding for the unexpected, whenever and wherever needed, is a compelling story of serving others.

Janet Reighart - Board Secretary

I grew up and raised my two children in the St. Louis, Missouri, area. I lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for seven years and relocated to Naperville, Illinois in 1995. I was a VP of Real Estate Management for MetLife handling their U. S. domestic portfolio. After nine years in Naperville, I was transferred to the Carolinas. My husband, Lee, and I packed up and here we are in Lake Wylie! We are both retired and love this area. My son and his family live in Charlotte and wish the kids in our “blended family” would also relocate to this area! I love to volunteer and especially enjoy giving back to the community. Mayday is a perfect avenue for my interests!

Wayne Lynch - Past President

I was raised in Manchester-By-The-Sea, MA, graduated from American International College and started my career in the consumer products industry, which continues with my own company. My wife, Nina, and I moved to South Carolina in 1998. I joined the Mayday Board in 2018 and became president in 2019. Mayday allows me to serve my community uniquely with emergency funding for our agencies' unbudgeted unexpected situations. The financing of Mayday supplies truly enhances the lives of needy children and their families in our community.

Steve Gaver - Board Member

My wife Mamie and I moved to South Carolina from Cleveland, Ohio, in 2006 for my work after previous stays in Pittsburgh and Columbus, OH. The sun and warmth were much welcomed. We both graduated from WVU, and I received an M.S. from Carnegie Mellon. Since retiring, I learned more and more through sponsorship of Mayday about the needs of children in our community, a need we didn't see in and around our home. The more I learned, the more it became apparent that Mayday was an opportunity to make a difference and help those in need. Fortunately, I was able to join the board. The agencies we sponsor are on the front lines of that effort, directly supporting them, especially in hard times. With Mayday's exposure, I've joined the front-line battle as a Guardian ad Litem, a program funded by the county providing support and oversight directed towards children displaced due to neglect or abuse, assuring their safe environment.

Sherri Ciurlik - Board Member

My family considers me a professional volunteer. My husband and I moved to Clover in 2001 with three children under five so I quickly became involved in the community as a way of making friends and building relationships. I have had the pleasure of serving my community as a volunteer within the school’s and with local organizations such as The Clover Area Assistance Center, Cloverleaf Education Foundation, River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions Club as well as serving as a school board member for twelve years. I am excited to be a member of the Mayday Project as I have witnessed firsthand the impact of this organization on our local community. It is an honor to be serving an organization that values aiding others and strong relationships.

Shirley MacMillan - Board Member

I am originally from Guelph, Ontario, Canada, but my husband and I moved to River Hills in 1993. I have two sons and two grandchildren.  I retired in 2014 when I sold my business, Home Helpers, a non medical in-home care service providing many forms of assistance to seniors still living at home or in care facilities. This experience taught me a lot about the needs in our diverse community at large. Since I retired, I have continued to volunteer in various capacities because I have always believed in giving back to the community in which I live. 

Because of Mayday’s unique history of working so hard and successfully for those of our neighbors in acute need of assistance, I am honored to be allowed to join in their efforts to help the clients we serve.
